Kullu’s historical background dates back to 2000 years. Kullu is derived from the word Kuluta. Archeologists discovered the word ‘Kuluta’ engraved on a coin in the main century. Vinyasa was the main lord, and his name appeared on the coin as Virayasa, King of Kuluta. The Trishul crest is made up of three trident-shaped mountain peaks.

The three peaks that form Trishul Peak resemble the state of Trishula as described in Hindi/Sanskrit. It is known to be Shiva’s weapon. The Trishul aggregate forms a ring around the Nanda Devi National Park. Trishul I, the primary peak, was the main top with a rise of 7,000 m to have ever been moved by somebody.

During the windy season of March and April, the climate becomes extremely chilly due to heavy snowfall in the valley. It also remains extremely cold in the spring. The temperature drops only infrequently. The air is lovely and clear for long stretches in September, October, and November. The majority of the snow falls in November and December.

Base Camp trekking is also available for visitors here. It is the best way for guests who have traveled long distances to spend their mountain occasions appreciating the change in the atmosphere. However, they are encouraged to bring woolen garments and covers to protect themselves from the harsh weather.
