The Kali river in Uttarakhand is a majestic river that distinguishes the border of India from that of Nepal. This river is the perfect place for hydroelectric power generation descending from a height of 3600 meters and is duly harvested by the many power plants in the region. In addition to being a source of power, the Kali river is also a site of scenic beauty.

On both sides of the river lies the market town of Jhulaghat where one can easily purchase the local merchandise.   The banks of this river make up for a tranquil picnic spot to spend some time in the company of nature and loved ones.

The strong currents of the river Kali are ideal to play host to some thrilling adventure sports. River rafting is the most exciting activity that can be easily done here. With the fast currents of the river water flailing your raft in all possible directions and your arms rowing away, the adrenaline rush of this activity is unmatched and should be experienced at least once!
