Lord Hanuman devoted his entire life in the service of his mentor and idol, Lord Rama. The temple has a huge statue of Lord Hanuman who is believed to be protecting and guarding the area and locals. A golden umbrella is also installed overhead the statue.

The inner shrine contains an idol of Lord Hanuman opening his chest and showing images of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita in his heart.   Lord Hanuman, also known as Maruti Nandan, is the son of Lord Pawan (Air) and Anjani Mata. In the temple, there are shrines of Lord Shiva and Lord Rama also.

The temple is located strategically on a hill from where you have an excellent view of the Sunrise and Sunset. You can also have an excellent view of the Tarai Valley from the temple. Within the complex, on the other side of the hill, are the shrines of Shitala Mata and Ashram of Lila Sah Bapu.

Nainital is a pleasant place to be at. You can visit anytime during the year. Winters can be quite cold here and there are chances of snowfall during November, December and January. Summers are pleasant here and are also the peak season for tourist visits.
